OWEN SOUND, Ont. – The Owen Sound Transportation Company (OSTC) is pleased to announce newly appointed members Jamie Di Laudo to its Board of Directors, effective July 16, 2024, and Richard Lockie, effective August 7, 2024.
Jamie Di Laudo
Di Laudo brings over 30 years of leadership experience in construction and business management. Currently, as vice-president at Amico, Di Laudo is responsible for corporate strategic planning and guiding Amico Infrastructure Inc.’s rapid growth in becoming one of the largest heavy civil construction companies in Ontario.
As a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, Di Laudo has been involved in many complex civil infrastructure projects, including the Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway; Gordie Howe International Bridge; Highway 401 expansion project – Milton to Mississauga; and the Hazel McCallion Light Rail Transit Line.
A graduate of Western University with a bachelor of engineering science and a bachelor of arts and economics, Di Laudo currently resides in Kingsville, Ontario, and is a board member of the Ontario Road Builders’ Association.
Richard Lockie
Richard Lockie is a business executive based in Toronto whose career spans 45 years in corporate finance, business startups and venture capital investments. Since 2017, he has focused on various investment opportunities, management and operational processes related to domestic companies. He has served in several board capacities across private and public companies.
Previously, Lockie held several positions, including chairman, then president & CEO at Insception, Canada’s largest umbilical cord blood bank; entrepreneur-in-residence at MaRS, a launchpad for startups, researchers and innovators; managing director at MDS Capital Inc., Canada’s largest life science-focused venture capital company; and vice -president and CFO at L.A.Varah, an electronics distributor.
Lockie completed a master of business administration at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in London, Ontario, and completed his undergraduate degree in economics, also at Western.
About Owen Sound Transportation Company (OSTC):
OSTC, an agency of the Government of Ontario, is an integral part of Ontario’s tourism and transportation system responsible for managing the operation of four ships, seven terminals and dock facilities and administering a contractor operated seasonal air service. OSTC owns and operates the MS Chi-Cheemaun ferry, which provides seasonal service between Manitoulin Island and the Bruce Peninsula, sailing along the borders of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron to transport tourists, community members and commercial clients. The MV Niska I, a landing craft ferry, provides vehicle, freight and passenger transportation services between Moosonee and Moose Factory Island on the Moose River at the mouth of James Bay. OSTC also operates the MV Pelee Islander and the MV Pelee Islander II, which provide ferry service between the mainland, Pelee Island, and Sandusky, Ohio on Lake Erie. When Lake Erie ferries are not running from late December through the end of March, OSTC contracts a licensed air operator to provide winter air service between Pelee Island and Windsor, Ontario.
