MS Chi-Cheemaun’s 2025 Season Begins with the SOLD-OUT Spring Repositioning Cruise!

Chi-Cheemaun - Travel In Good Spirits
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our sold-out Spring Repositioning Cruise last Thursday, May 1, 2025. This cherished annual tradition marked the exciting start of the MS Chi-Cheemaun’s sailing season!
During our 4 ½ hour journey from Owen Sound Harbour to Tobermory, we sounded the horn as a traditional salute while passing Neyaashiinigmiing, in recognition of community member Donald Keeshig, who named the Chi-Cheemaun, meaning Big Canoe in Ojibway.
This year, we were thrilled to have the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation – Health Centre onboard as the selected non-profit organization to fundraise during this special voyage.
Our special musical guest, Moondance, featuring Kevin Moyse and Karen May, provided live entertainment that added an enchanting touch to our journey.

Above: Once a year, OSTC selects two local not-for-profit organizations as the sponsored parties of the Spring and Fall Repositioning Cruises. The selected organizations receive a portion of ticket sales from their respective cruise and have the opportunity to fundraise onboard. Chippewas of Nawash – Health Centre was selected as the fundraisers onboard for our Spring Cruise.
