Fish Point Nature Reserve
If you love picturesque beauty and rare photo opportunities, come visit the southernmost point of Canada. Shrouded in southern deciduous forest, Fish Point boasts tons of plant species thanks to its mild weather, plus a plethora of shorebirds. And if you walk a secluded 3.2 km forest walkway, you’ll find one of Pelee Island’s best locations for swimming.
We are one of North America’s premier bird-watching hotspots, thanks to our unique geographical properties that act as a funnel for hundreds of thousands of migratory birds. Our conservation areas are equipped with convenient parking, pleasant trails and good viewing areas, including observation towers.
Our campgrounds are located on the east side of the island and contain 25 individual sites, as well as washroom and shower facilities. Plus, with the public East Beach only a few steps away, you can enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Erie during the day and campfire stargazing at night.
Hiking & Bike Trails
The Ecological Trail System provides access to beaches, forests, sand dunes, marshes and alvars found nowhere else in Canada. It includes 34 km of on-road bicycle trails, 10 km of ecological multi-use trails and 5 km of walking trails. And the best part is: these trails are open all year round.
